Tommy is an outstanding kid of high character and intellect. He has shined this year as varsity goalkeeper on the Rappahannock County High School soccer team, and the coach recently made him captain. Tommy took home the Coach’s Award this year as well. In fact, Tommy has shown physical toughness and determination in overcoming a knee injury and two knee surgeries that left him sidelined, cheering is team and frustrated that he couldn’t be out there with them. As goalkeeper, he still has knee pain but pushes through it. You can see the pain he feels when he lands flat out after a spectacular save or boots a long ball wav down the field.
