in the fall with a $32,000 merit scholarship. Ben’s academic achievements at Wakefield Country Day School have been hard-fought and not without struggle. After wrestling with some of the more demanding curriculum requirements at Wakefield, as a senior he has successfully navigated through two AP classes and finally conquered his two most difficult subjects - Latin and Math. This year, Ben also demonstrated a real flair for both creative writing and public speaking; he delivered an impressive thesis presentation on the “Relationship Between Volkswagen and the Nazis.”
Over the past four years, Ben's community sen/ice has centered around volunteering within numerous departments of a local hospital, serving over 100 hours. As a senior, Ben was the manager of the WCDS middle school and varsity volleyball teams.
Ben’s determination, and his ability to perform when the "going gets tough,” should serve him well as he enters this new and exciting phase of his life. Whatever career he chooses to pursue, he has the personality and skills to be extremely successful.
