Cubbage said Cahill’s request was simply for raw data and is not the same as a formal traffic study, which is used to assess the need for possible road improvements associated with development plans. He said the firm’s request does not imply any development will affect the aforementioned roads.
“They are looking to assess what the current flow is,” Cubbage said.
He added that if any development is proposed, a formal traffic study would be necessary only if the proposal is for a high-density project that would cause a significant increase in traffic. Keating said Lane does not plan to request a traffic study.
