Also, most people in Rappahannock, while they can get angry if you push them hard enough, are seldom vitriolic. They can, of course, get quite upset if you push them too hard to change their ways, or you try to show them a “better” way of doing things. And a lot of them can even cut down trees or push them over quite safely, themselves, and are smart enough to leave the “felling” to professionals.
But, perhaps, I am just too old fashioned and too country, and there will always be some things that I will never understand.
