arrested for being Drunk in Public by Rappahannock County Deputy Jeff Breeden on November 9. A woman called, reporting that Halko, her brother-in-law, was drunk and had smashed her sister’s car. As Breeden traveled to the location, he met Halko walking along the side of Highway 211.

According to Breeden, the two women had taken Halko’s keys, which prompted him to hit the car with his fist, injuring his hand before traveling on foot. Halko was transported to the county jail.

After investigating a vehicle that had apparently driven off of Indian Rim Road, Virginia State Police Trooper Brandon Johnson arrested Joseph P. Smith, 32, on November 7, for being drunk in public. Although Smith’s vehicle had rim off of the road, he was not seen driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the County Jail.
