The CCLC is especially grateful to John Fox Sullivan who, halfway through the auction, performed some magic of his own by taking the microphone and inspiring supporters in the crowd to contribute an extra $16,525 dollars in cash pledges to support the valuable programs of CGLC for young children. These programs include a CCLC Scholarship Fund to provide tuition assistance to families who cannot afford full tuition and to keep tuition affordable for all, and funding an additional staff member to help maintain their National Accreditation Standards.
Finally, the CCLC wanted to stress that the smooth operation of the auction should be credited to the high-tech expertise provided by Louise van Dort and her assistants, who kept the live auction items entered into a data base in a wireless network.
