Benefit dinner
planned for a
special lady
There will be an All You Can Eat Spaghetti dinner at the Chester Gap Vol. Fire Department on Nov. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. with all proceeds to benefit Debbie Wines who has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Debbie is a wonderful lady who has always been one to help others and was until recently employed in the health care profession doing just that. Debbie has a very outgoing personality and has always been one to lend a hand and now it’s our turn to help her and show her just exactly how much we all care about her. Debbie and her husband Jimmy have been making the best of the situation with their daughter Janie trying to fill in wherever and whenever she can. I know that a lot of you are already in prayer for Debbie and I would hope that you would continue to do just that but I also hope that you’ll come out and join with us in showing Debbie just how much we all love and care about her and her family and how important she is to us personally and to our community as a whole as well.
The menu will include not only spaghetti but also salad, garlic bread, and dessert. The price is only $7 for folks 12 and over and $4 for those 4 to 11; anyone under 4 is free. You’ll spend about that or close to it at McDonald’s for 'll meal and then feel bad about it later. Why not make it a point to come out and eat at the fire house then you’ll go home not only full but feeling good about it as well.

Happy Birthday to everyone celebrating this week like Jake Williams whose birthday was on Nov. 9, and to a very special little girl, Gabie Williams, who celebrated hers on Nov. 10.
Closing thoughts
I truly do hope to see you all this Saturday evening at the dinner, because that’s one of the things that make me so proud and happy to be part of this community. I guess I never paid enough attention as a child, or was in to big a hurry then, but I really appreciate it nowadays when I see everyone come together for each other whether in times of joy or sadness.
