When Sunnyside Market shut down Nov. 5, the building at 337 Gay St. in the Tbwn of Washington was left without a tenant and with an uncertain future. More than one week later, the picture is.still cloudy.
Jimmie DeBergh, of Sunnyview LLC, which owns the market building, said there are currently no plans to sell the structure, but there has been interest in leasing it.
“We’ve had some inquiries from interested parties to lease it,” DeBergh said. “So we’re considering those.”
DeBergh said there has also been interest in leasing the small office building, previously used by Tamara Waldo, former chief operating officer for Sunnyside Farms, behind the market building.
