Rappahannock’s own athletic teams is set to compete in the state semi-finals.
The Rappahannock Panthers Volleyball team went to the State Finals during the 2002-2003 season but this is the first time any member of the current team has gone to Richmond.

The Panthers biggest test will be Friday against Gate City, the 2005 defending state ‘A’ champions. The Panthers will compete against the Gate City Blue Devils tomorrow (Friday) at 7:00 p.m. at Virginia Commonwealth University.
The winners of the semifinals will play the State Championship game at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 18.
