Known as a dedicated politician by members of both parties, Byrne, 60, has advocated for women’s rights, providing high school students with vocational training and allocating money to improve state roads.
Webb started new member training Monday and was unavailable to comment for this story but said in a release that Byrne has “tremendous knowledge about the issues that face Virginia as well as incredible credentials.”
