The novel has been hailed as a smart, intriguing page-turner, and an extraordinary first effort that gets it just right, from the White House to international summits. Schechter said that he is encouraged by the response he has received to the book, and is making progress on his second novel.
Schechter will be happy to talk about what it was like to write his first book, he said, when he speaks on Friday, March 9 at the Rappahannock County library. The lecture will include plenty of time for the audience to ask questions, either about the book or about Schechter’s own adventurous life.
