Reagan Day Dinner
The Rappahannock County Republican Committee will hold its Annual Reagan Day Dinner at the Washington Firehall beginning at 6 p.m. This year’s guest speaker is Edwin “Ed" Meese, III, the seventy-fifth Attorney General of the United States who served under President Ronald Reagan from 1985 to 1988. The dinner is potluck. Beverages and door prizes are provided. There is no charge but reservations are required. Seating is limited, so please call or e-mail for your reservation today. March 17: St Patrick’s Day Celebration
The Inn At Kelly’s Ford and “All Things Irish” (Rathuil) invite you to an Irish Ceili to benefit the State Theatre Foundation The event will take place on Saturday, March 17 from 5 p. m. until midnight. The event will celebrate St Patrick's Day and the Anniversary of the Battle of Kelly’s Ford. Tickets must be purchased in advance from the State Theatre Office at 307 South Main Street (727-7979) or from several Downtown merchants including Peterson’s Jewelers, Rathuil, Frenchman’s Comer, Comer Shelf Bookstore, Pepperberries, Second Bank and Trust-main office; Wachovia Bank, Main Street Office; and BB&T, Davis Street Office. Ticket prices are $35 for adults, $20 for students, and there is no charge for children under the age of 12.

County Garden Club meeting
The Rappahannock County Garden Club win end its winter break on Wednesday, March 21, on the first day of spring with a meeting at the Washington Fire House at 1 p. m. The program, “Growing Iris Through the Year”, will be presented by Ginny Spoon. Minor bubs, hellebores, and flowering branches win be featured in the horticulture displays; a creative line mass design, and a traditional mass design are the choices for arrangements. Ki Theatre in partnership with Rappahannock Association for the Arts in the Community present Paul Reisler & the Kid Pan Alley Band in Concert Mar.23 and 24 at 7 p.m. at the School House in SperryviHe performing songs written in collaboration with over 450 children from Rappahannock County Schools. The band features Paul Reisler, Terri Allard, Steve van Dam, Smiggy Smith, Will Hopkins, Nate Brown, schoolchildren from Rappahannock County and Special Guest Performers. The School House is located on U.S. 211 and Fit. 522. Tickets go on sale to the public Mar. 2. They are available locally at ECOW, Cinema Paradiso and Kit Theatre. Tickets: $5-Kids, $15-Adults.
