the murder of the Tucker/ Baskerville family, only five days after the Harvey murder, Percyell Tucker, 55, Mary Baskerville Tucker, 47, and Ashley Baskerville, 21, were found bound and slain in their Richmond home. Ashley Baskerville was Gray’s girlfriend and allegedly his accomplice in the Harvey murder.
The outcome of that case in Richmond caused Gray to comment on Tuesday that he was not satisfied with the work of attorneys Bruns and Everhart.
Gray asked if he could retain the services of Kevin Smith for the lesser charges held against him and Smith replied that he was willing to represent him.
Gray will return to Culpeper from the State Prison in Sussex where he is currently being held on Wednesday, March 14 at 11 a.m. At that date, he will be appointed another attorney and formally arraigned on the new charges.
