In the month of March the Rappahannock County baseball team roared out with victories against Millbrook, Page County, Warren County, Luray, and Fresta Valley. In the game against Page County Russell pitched 16 strike outs and only gave up five hits. At the plate in that game he went 1 foi 3 with two runs scored and a stolen base. As a relief pitcher in the Fresta Valley game, Russell hat three strikeouts in one inning with no hits and no runs. At the plate he went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a stolen base.
