Knows His Fruit
My father works as a fruit broker at his office in Harris Hollow in Little Washington, Virginia. He usually uses a computer, but sometimes writes down important information, on paper and is always busy answering the phone.
My dad sometimes travels all over the United States on business trips and for conventions. The trips can be very long or they can be very short, but sometimes it feels like he has been away for a very long time. My dad is very good at what he does and he loves his job.

Dirty Pipes aren’t
for Mr. Bennett
On dad’s day we interviewed our dads. Mr. Bennett is a plumber who works in new construction for Foley Plumbing where he never sees a dirty pipe. His company has been in business for about 43 years. He likes to use his hands and being a plumber like his father suited him very well.
He meets many new people that soon become his Mends. Back when he first started working he used metal pipes but now things have really changed. Now almost all the pipes and things he uses are plastic. I thought Mr. Bennett’s job was very interesting. Plumbers like Mr. Bennett are needed everywhere.
