Rappahannock County High School Principal Roger Mello has decided to step down so that his assistant principal Robin Puryear can step up.
The Rappahannock County School Board accepted Mello’s switch request on Tuesday at their monthly meeting.
Mello will now serve the high school as the Assistant Principal, while Puryear will assume the Principal position for the 2007-2008 school year.
“I thank the school board for looking at and accepting my proposal,” said Mello from Orlando, Florida where he is currently chaperoning the senior trip. “I have been doing the same thing for five years and I look forward to doing something a bit different.”
