Burke led the Panthers to a 14-7 record and the Bull Run District regular season title in 2007. His team finished the season with 10-2 record in district play, and five of the nine Panthers players were selected as first-team all-district players and two were named to the second team.
The Panthers’ coach was also honored as the Bull Run District Coach of the Year.*
Now, he can add the Rappahannock News’ 2007 Coach of the Year to his list of titles.
“You have to have a great group of girls that want to win if you’re going to be a successful coach,” Burke said. “It’s nothing I did. They went out there every day and busted their tails.”
