When Up Chiqui entered the arena last to go, Farrington knew the pressure was on. “My horse goes very fast all by himself, so I thought it would he better to keep the speed [from start to finish],” Farrington said. He cut the long turn from 14 to 12 even shorter, and jumped 10 at a sharp angle to get quickly to the final fence. Up Chiqui stopped the timer at 38.32 for the win. Wapino was second, Perin third and Lorenzo fourth.
