top three of the RCHS 2007 Senior Class. He was awarded academic awards for his participation in the Scholastic Bowl team and the Student Yearbook as well the Advanced Placement Scholar award. Vickers received the Next Step most industrious senior student scholarship, and the Rappahannock County Education Scholarship. This fall he intends to major in International Relations. Vickers was nominated because of his high energy that he dedicated to the school as well as his personal improvement in academics. One teacher said, “Clay is involved and engaged 24 hrs a day.. .he is smart, hardworking, and curious as well as mature and independent.” “We call him “ubiquitous Clay,” chuckled Bev Hunter who teaches geospatial classes at the high school. “He did great work and was the only one who figured out how to do a project that we were working on for Scrabble School. He's amazing.”
