But the long hours and sleepless nights are starting to catch up with the third-year coach, and next year he is considering relinquishing his role as head coach, and serving as a co-coach with current assistant Earl Mills.
“I think 111 have to scale back next year,” Burke said. “I’d still like to serve as a cocoach and have Earl Mills take over as a co-coach. I would be glad to help him with the administrative duties and keep working with the girls, but my job responsibilities make it too tough to be out here everyday.”
Well, if this is indeed his grand finale, Burke went out with a bang.
