Mount Vernon invites visitors to spend Farther's Day with the Father of Our County! General Washington wiH greet visitors and pose for photographs from 10:00 am. to 4:00 pm on Father's Day, June 17. General Washington witt discuss his role as husband, stepfather, and Fattier of Our Country at 11:00 am, 1.-00 pm, and 3.-00 pm in the program “Father to the First Family” in the Little Theater. With a purchased ticket to Mount Vernon, fathers visiting the estate wi receive complimentary admission to George Washington’s Distillery & GristmM, located three miles from the estate on Ftoute 235 South. Admission to Mount Vernon is $13 for adults and $6 for children. Admission to George Washington’s Distillery & Gristmill is $4 for adults and $2 chicken. Children under 5 are admitted free. At the Distillery demonstrations by costumed distillers take visitors through the historic process of whiskeymaking in this reconstruction of tie largest 18th-century distillery in America Visitors see costumed distillers operating copper stils, stirring mash tute, and managing the boiler as they demonstrate 18th-century dishing.
