As housing coordinator for the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Mental Health Center, it is Leonard Tuchyner’s job to find homes for people receiving services from the Rappahannock Mental Health Clinic. According to Tuchyner, there is a tremendous need for suitable living quarters in Rappahannock and throughout the Planning District. The lack of housing has often lead to tragic situations like the following account.
Mary X is 60 years old and lives on the Geriatric Ward in a state mental institution. Mary X is not emotionally ill nor does she need unusual medical attention.
