“This will never be considered a substitute for our goal in this priority, which is to achieve bare pavement, roads completely free of snow and ice,” Leigh said.
+PRIORITY TWO: These routes include medium service primary and some high service secondary roads. Roads assigned this priority will receive second consideration for snow removal and ice control. On these roads, snow and ice will be removed where possible or covered with abrasives to make travel with chains unnecessary as soon as possible (after top priority roads are cleared), but within 24 hours after the storm has stopped.
