BO BETTE SWINDLER Rappahannock New* Special Writer* The Panthers Cagers finally got to play on their home court Friday, Jan. 9th. The JV’s did a tremendous job by winning in overtime with a score of 34 to William Monroe’s 29. The high scorer was Jimmy Tomko with 18 points. High rebounder was Mike Leake with 11 rebounds. During the second half the defensive effort brought the Panthers back to a win. Great Game JV.
The Varsity team played a good game too, but they weren’t quite as successful as JV. The score was, 34 for the Panthers and the Dragons had 45. Gary Leake and Steve Foster tied in scoring with 12 points each while Steve Foster was busy pulling down 10 rebounds. Good try Varsity.
Friday’s game against Strasburg was cancelled due to bad weather. This game has been rescheduled for Feb. 8th.
Last Wednesday juniors and seniors held a meeting to talk about the Foreign Exchange Student Program.
