How To

Rebloom

Poinsettias

The poinsettia is one of the most difficult plants to rebloom, according to Virginia Tech Extension specialist in nursery production, Paul L. Smeal. But since it is one of the plants that people most often attempt to rebloom, Smeal offers the following advice.

After the bracts (the colored structure often called flowers) and leaves have fallen off, start drying the plant. Store dried-off plants in a cool (50 degrees Fahrenheit) dry, light place until May.
