On Friday, January 12, Washington lawyer Douglas Baumgardner announced his intention to run for the office of Commonwealth's Attorney for Rappahannock County in the November, 1979 elections.
Baumgardner noted that he’d left the law firm of Lea, Davies, Crigler and Barrell, effective January 1, 1979, and would continue with a general practice from his office in the old theater building in Washington.
