Wakefield Art
Show Winners
Local winners in Wakefield Country Day School’s annual Art Show, held last Saturday, included Stacy Skowronski, Washington, (Va.), 2nd place in the High School Division, painting and drawing; James Dawson, Huntly, 1st place, sculpture; and Cindy Hunter, Amissville, 3rd place, sculpture.
In the Wakefield parents division, painting and drawing, 1st prize went to Mrs. Tanya Richey of Amissville, and 2nd prize to Skip Giles of Washington, (Va.).
Students from eleven area schools contributed paintings, drawings, photography, and sculpture for display in this year’s show.
Judging was done by Mrs. Sally Gorfein, a former set designer for the Arena Stage in Washington, D. C., and Byron Schumacher, a White House photographer.

Announced
Mr. and Mrs. James R. Hyde of Newport News announce the engagement of their daughter. Rose Ann, to Alexander Sharp, son of' Capt. and Mrs. George H. Sharp of Washington, Va.
Miss Hyde is a graduate of the University of Virginia where she received a bachelor’s degree in special education.
Mr. Sharp is a graduate of the University of Virginia and earned a bachelor’s degree in economics.
An April wedding is planned.
