The Sperryville Rescue Squad responded to an auto accident May 6 on Route 522 south of Sperryville and transported Silas Foster to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. On May 4 Washington Fire Dept, tanker and Rescue Squad participated in the Apple Blossom Parade in Winchester. Washington Rescue Squad was on standby duty for the Bike-A-Thon races May 6 in town and the same day answered a call to the residence of Hugh Grigsby in Castleton and assisted Castleton with a vehicle fire.
Amissville Fire Company responded to a truck fire April 2 on Route 229 and on the 22nd answered an alarm to the home of Mrs. Rena Corbin where an overheated stove caused problems.
Flint Hill Rescue Unit transported Mrs. Mary Mallory from the Rappahannock Clinic May 11 to Warren Memorial Hospital. Miss Addie Boyd was taken from her home in Flint Hill May 12 by the same unit to_ Warren Memorial Hospital.
Flint Hill Fire Dept, answered a public service call May 12 to the McGee property on Route 637.
The Sperryville Rescue Unit transported Lester Yates from his home to Culpeper Memorial May 10. Beatrice Shephard and Mabel Deal were taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital May 14 by the unit following an auto accident on Route 600 in Sperryville.
Softball ers
