Reimbursement

For Locks

Attorney General Marshall Coleman has mailed checks reimbursing more than $317,000 to 330 Virginia state agencies, local governments and public institutions for overcharges on door locks and other contract hardware.

Rappahannock County Schools will receive $220.80 while Rappahannock County government will get $30.12. The reimbursement is the result of a national antitrust suit against four contract hardware companies alleged to have overcharged customers installing Master Key Systems in public buildings from 1950 to 1970.
