The Izaak Walton League is “adopting” several streams in the county to help preserve their water quality and beauty and will lead in clearing litter from them.
The students of Rappahannock County, showing that they do care, are supporting all of these activities. They will also be distributing a pledge, for all in the county to sign, which will read: “I hereby pledge to keep roadsides and streams beautiful by not littering them and by picking up trash dropped by careless people.”
On Saturday, June 30th and July 4th we invite the people of Rappahannock County to join this effort and help keep Rappahannock beautiful.
We invite the Garden Club, the Woman’s Club, the Ruritan Club and any other organization to join us in a beautification and cleanup program, June 30 and July 4.
