Luke noted that the board listed the elementary school as second priority with trailers included in the 1979'80 budget to be moved there when high school construction is completed. The board asked that construction of additional permanent space at the elementary school begin in two or three years.
The school board ranked construction of a new bus garage as third priority with the possibility of having to acquire additonal land to protect the sewage treatment lagoon from contamintion from garage run-off. Luke noted that time frame for this project depended on the progress in the highway department’s four-laning of Route 211. Fourth priority, with no time frame, was given to construction of school board offices.
Luke said that the county could borrow the money to finance the capital outlay projects from the state literary fund, repayable at 3 per cent interest over 20 years. Based on projections from Davis and McClintock for construction and architect’s fees only, cost of the projects will be $386,660 for the elementary school, $687,640 for the high school (including green house and
