At Leadership
Conference
Patricia Kindall Baker from Rappahannock County High School represented the Piedmont Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America in the clerk-typist event at the FBLA State Leadership Conference. Patricia previously won the regional award in that event in competition at James Madison University.
Lt. Governor Charles Robb spoke to FBLA members at the conference, held April 2729 in Richmond. In addition, state FBLA officers were elected and several amendments to the group’s constitution were passed.
At the Piedmont Chapter of the FBLA’s ninth annual awards banquet held May 4 at the Holiday Inn in Culpeper, Patricia was also presented with the school’s 1978-79 clerk-typist award.
Cheerleader Camp
Cheerleader camps sponsored by the Nation-wide Cheerleaders Association Workshop will be held at Longwood College in Farmiville from August 5 to 8 and at James Madison University in Harrisonburg from July 1 to 4.

Chorus Concert
This Weekend
The Rappahannock Country Dancers will perform with the Rappahannock Chorus Sunday evening, May 20 at 8 p.m. in the Washington School auditorium. Tickets are $2.00 for adults, $1.00 per student and children under 12 free.
The chorus will perform a variety of selections and the dancers will dance a number of folk dances.
