Delegate George P. Beard, Rappahannock’s representative in the Virginia General Assembly, has been named to the Joint Subcommittee of the House Agricultural Committee studying methods of funding certain agricultural inspections. The committee will determine whether inspection of commercial feeds, fertilizers and other agricultural and consumer commodities should be funded by fees, the General Assembly or a combination of both.
In announcing his appointment, Beard urged any constituent with a problem concerning the agricultural fee, system to contact him.
