RCHS

Presents

"A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be presented by the RCHS Players on November 11 and 12.

Along with veteran director Don Bomberger, the Senior Class of RCHS is sponsoring the production of this Shakespearian classic.

Just one of the special features of the production is the “thrust" stage which actually expands the size of the RCHS stage, extending it into the auditorium for more actor mpbility and versatility. The “thrust” concept is similar to original stage contraction as it allows the audience to be seated on three sides of the stage. Faculty members Scott Currie and Wayne Leavell have supervised construction of the special platform according to Don Bomberger’s original design.

"A Midsummer Night’s Dream" is a fairy tale where the principal characters perform under the influence of illusion and enchantment during the greater part of the play. Spells and visions abound as the characters dream their way through the play with a sort of midsummer ‘madness’.
