“The time factor for the administration staff is crucial because of the number of new teachers coming into the system this year,” Estabrook said.
Nichols asked how a new teacher can get help if he or she is having problems in the classroom. “We’ll make time for them, and we’ll also have the buddy system in effect," Estabrook said. In the buddy system, a new teacher is paired with an experienced teacher who can answer questions and help the new teacher become acquainted with the system. New teacher orientation will he held tomorrow.
Estabrook advised the board that two more requests had been received from teachers wishing to leave the system. The board went into closed session to discuss personnel matters.
During a special meeting August 2, the board approved the following appointments: Lena Stoltzfus, Jeanine Waterfield, Donn Gehman, Terry Spangler. Kath\ Kenney and Mat thew Barrett.
