So often kids unknowingly turn simple problems into tremendous burdens which detracts from classroom learning. An encouraging word from a family member can be well worth the time and trouble now to head off more serious problems later.
Teachers complain about something they call “burnout,” which can be defined roughly as losing that desire to transform a classroom full of blank faces into an oasis of knowledge. One of the biggest contributors to burnout is a lack of support from home.
Let’s all take an active interest in the education of the young people of Rappahannock County. We can only benefit by doing just that.
