Mark White signed into law a bill that prohibits the harrassment of hunters and the disruption of legal hunts. The “hunter harrassment” legislation makes it unlawful for individuals to intentionally interfere with or harrass hunters during the lawful taking of game. It also prohibits individuals from using animals such as dogs or horses to disrupt hunts. Violators of the naw law, which takes effect Aug. 26, are subject to a misdemeanor charge.
