However, another vote will be taken at next Tuesday’s work session concerning that part of the proposed budget which encompasses teacher salaries. The incentives must fit within that overall part of the budget.
Board members believe that the teacher salary structure is weakest at the beginning level and at the highest levels of experience. “We have got to be more competitive at these ends,” said Board member Randall Updike.
