9 § I have been writing for several months
£ now, I have a lot of people tell me they 2 have been reading these articles. But few y have been helping to support them. £ The Lord has inspired me to let you »know something about my life, my new £ birth, my calling, and my ministry. This will £ probably take several weeks so if you will 2 keep each one until we finish, it will make £ more sense to you. 0 I was born in Pittsburg, Pa. in 1930, in y the so called “ghettos" and raised until £ eleven years old in a foster home, very 0 poor, we got our food at a commodity y house, but we were proud, clean people. £ Most of the neighborhood was black but 2 nobody knew hate, we all loved each y other. £ At eleven my mother moved me to Va., 2 and at thirteen yrs. old, I went out on my y own! I met Sally, my wife, at twelve yrs. 0 old. Then when I turned seventeen on the 2 17th of July it wouldn't be long before Sally y and I were to be married, and we were 0 married on the 1st day of August in 1947. 2 We have been happy all of these 381/2 yrs. £ We have three children; first girl 36 0 yrs , Pam; boy 33 yrs., Alan; and our 9 youngest girl 25 yrs., Bobbi Taylor (By the £ way we have been blessed with a great 2 son-in-law, Bill Taylor, Associate Pastor at 9 * 9

Like most people our early years were
very poor, but the last twenty two or three y have been good. We had been in the £ horse business for many years and did 2 very well at it. y Although we did not know Christ per£ sonally we tried to live a Godly life. At age 2 43 & 44 I had a lot of illness and depres£ sion and I knew something was missing in 0 our lives. I had a lot of people tell me 2 through the years that I should go to £ church, but I watched their lives and knew 0 I did not want that, for most all of them y were Sunday morning Christians. But £ praise God, He sent a man by my path that 0 really had the love of God coming from y him. he lived the life. Like the Bible says in I £ Gal. 5;23, he was bearing, the fruit of the ■ 2 Spirit. y In April 1975, I got born again.
