Mabel Jeffries
Mable Mallory Jeffries, 93, of Amissville died Sunday, March 9, 1986, at a Woodstock nursing home.
There are no immediate survivors.
A graveside service was conducted Wednesday, March 12, at Hillcrest Memory Gardens at Jeffersonton.
Geest-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
James Leake
James Wilson Leake, 69, of Sperryville, died Friday, March 14, 1986, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Rappahannock County, Mr. Leake was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Nannie V. Leake of Sperryville, two sons, James W. Leake of Sperryville and Thomas W. Leake of Chester Gap, one daughter, Mary A. Leake of Sperryville, a stepson, Robert Rutherford of ' Huntly, and his mother, Lillie B. Leake of Sperryville.
He also leaves a brother, Conrad B. Leake of Culpeper, three sisters, Carrie Jenkins, Lillie Corbin and Lois McFarland, all of Sperryville, a half-sister, Lelie Leake of Chester Gap, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday, March 16, at the Sperryville Cemetery by the Rev. John Burke.
