The National Theme of the Daughters of the American Revolution for 1986 is a quote from Daniel Webster “Let our Objectives be Our Country, Our whole Country and nothing but our Country. ”
A phase of this theme was incorpated in the the American Heritage program presented by Mrs. H.T.N. Graves of Luray to the members of the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter NSDAR at their March 11 meeting held at the Culpeper United Methodist Church. Mrs. Edwin Grimsley and Mrs. James Harkness were hostesses.
Mrs. Graves in her slide/talk presentation gave an insight as to how the people lived in the Shenandoah Valley area in the 18th and early 19th centuries, and of their many struggles and hardships.
Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Regent, introduced the two new members present for their first meeting namely:
