Lou Brown, an eighth grader from Stephens City, won first place in Chemistry for his display and research into how composites are made.

Tom Rust, a sophomore from Flint Hill, took first place in Earth/Space Science category for his work on local weather forecasting. Rust wrote a computer program in basic which tried to determine weather patterns.
