Inn W orkshop The Conyers House in Slate Mills is holding a workshop for innkeepers and those who are considering the possibility of having an inn. The workshop will explore various facets of running an inn, including marketing strategies, regulations, daily operations, house specialities and finances. The $25 cost includes a complimentary lunch. The workshop will be held Saturday, March 22.
Fashion show planned A fashion show entitled “Tally Ho!” will be presented on Sunday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School. The show is sponsored by the Rappahannock Woman’s Club. Members of the club are currently seeking patron ads. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Woman’s Club Scholarship and the Rappahannock County 4-H Day Camp.
Arabian clinic set Bill Bohl of Bridlewood Arabians will present a conditioning and training clinic at the Hollins College Arena (Rt. 11, Roanoke) on March 22. The program will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is sponsored by the Virginia Arabian Horse Association. For more information, call the Rappahannock Extension Office at 675-3619.
Benefits for Amissville Fire Department The annual benefit auction sponsored by the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the fire hall.
