Mrs. Piper realized the need for a similar workshop for first and second graders. Therefore, a workshop is being planned in Rappahannock to meet that need.
Mrs. Piper told the parents that she felt a real need for a parent organization for the gifted/talented. She' said, “The SPTA, which is an excellent organization, is not the place for planning for the gifted/talented or for expressing ideas about the gifted and talented program.”
Several questions about the organization were asked by parents. Mrs. Piper’s replies strongly encouraged the formation of such a group.
