Black Oak Regular Baptist Church, on Route 729, held an Appreciation Day for Pastor Wayne Richards and his wife Louise on January 26,1986.

The occasion honored Pastor Richards for his 20 years of service for the Lord at Black Oak. Mr. Richards became pastor at Black Oak in January, 1966.

The younger people of the church took charge of the morning service which was dedicated to the pastor, singing songs and reading poems pertaining to the happy occasion.

Ricky Settle sang a special selection that he and his father Jimmy had written in honor of their pastor. Ricky also served as song leader.

J. B. Barnes read the scripture, acting as minister.
