The students in the second year agriculture program at Culpeper High held a judging contest last week in the classroom in which Kendal Peyton won second place. The group will travel to Blacksburg in April to judge livestock at VPI.
Mrs. A. E. Goddard has returned to Quaint Acres, her home here, after a trip to Roanoke where she attended the annual meeting of the Virginia Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers at the Hotel Roanoke. She presented a paper on Social Work Licensing at the meeting.
Among those who have been attending the Inn Workshops, sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Norman Cartwright-Brown, at Conyers House are Susan Anderson and Susan Rapalus of Woodstock, Ms. Harriet Ellison of Culpeper, Mrs. Douglas Farmer of Haywood, Louis Cable and Susan Allen of Etlan, Paul and Pat Brown of Fairfax, Phil Irwin of Flint Hill and Nan Thomasson of Washington. Mrs. Mary Burke left Monday to return to her home in Columbia, S. C., after spending several days here with Mrs. Bessie Corbin. Mrs. Corbin and her houseguest visited Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Burke in Rochelle Saturday and on Sunday were luncheon guests of Mrs. Alvin Atkins in Sperryville.
Revival services which have been in progress all this week at Slate Mills Baptist Church will close with the evening service tomorrow, Friday. The public is invited to come and hear Rev. John S. Farrar of Culpeper, who is guest speaker.
