The play included students from Mrs. Candy Lamma’s third grade class and Ms. Debbie Borrow’s kindergarten class.
“For several years we both taught kindergarten. We had such a good working relationship that when I moved to third grade we still wanted to work together,” explained Mrs. Lamma.
“Last year was our first year to have the third graders and kindergarteners working together,” she said. “It has worked out so well that we’ve made it a tradition.”
“We got the play from a book in the library. The students helped with the costumes and scenery,” Mrs. Lamma added. “Mrs. Judy Bomberger taped the music for us and we practiced it in our rooms until the last several weeks. Then Mrs. Bomberger practiced with us on stage. We practiced the play for about a month.”
“The children were so excited about it. My third graders felt a sense of worth when they could help the kindergarteners,” Mrs. Lamma concluded. “My students from last
