The deacons of the church presented gifts to Pastor Richards and his wife, after which a covered dish dinner was served in the church fellowship hall.
Before going to Black Oak in 1966, Elder Richards had been pastor of the Five Forks Regular Baptist and Beech Spring Regular Baptist Churches in Rappahannock County for a number of years.
