‘Stone Boy’ Stone Boy starring Robert Duvall, Glenn Close and Jason Presson ^vill be playing at the Gay Street Theatre on March 22 and 23. The film is a tense, underplayed drama about a family in the Midwest whose lives are shattered when one son accidentally shoots his older brother. The movie is rated PG. Woman’s Club to meet The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet on Tuesday, March 25, at the home of Bonnie Williams in Flint Hill. All members are urged to attend. Community Good Friday service The members of the Washington Baptist and Trinity Episcopal Churches extend an invitation to the community to join them in a service of Remembrance of the Passion at the Washington Baptist Church Friday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Jennings Hobson and Rev. Steve Scoggin will be joined by the choir from the two churches in leading this worship experience.
Beauty contest to be held The 1986 Miss Rappahannock Beauty Contest will be held Friday, April 4 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. Rehearsal will be Wednesday, April 2 at 6:00 p.m. Contestants between the ages of three and high school seniors may register. There will be a $10.00 registration fee. Each contestant is asked to try to find their own sponsor; if one can not be found the Sperryville Rescue Squad will provide one. The annual event is sponsored by the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad. Proceeds will go to the ambulance fund.
