The Annual Clean-up — Fix
up Week for the Town of Washington has been set from April 11 through April 17. Extra trash removal pick-ups will be made on Saturday, the 17th. Trash of all types will be removed at this time.
The Rappahannock County Education Association met Wednesday, March 24 and officers for the 1971-72 session were elected. Edward Gray was named to the presidency and Miss Elsie Dodson was seated as vice-president and Mrs. Dorothy Butler as treasurer.
Future Homemakers of America in Rappahannock will join with the 16,520 FHA members in Virginia in observing national FHA week March 28 through April 3, 1971. According to Patsy Payne, President of Rappahannock FHA chapter, members of Future Homemakers of America care about a lot of things: “Their particular emphases in Virginia Stable Home — Stable Life and Our World — A Growing Heritage.”
